One of our reporters made a trip to Epcot to take some photos of latest progress on Guardians of the Galaxy Roller Coaster construction today. While not too much has changed, there was some increased work on the side of the building for what we assume will be for train and track storage, as well as maintenance.
Without further ado, let’s take a look at the construction progress!
We can start to see some work on the inside of the former Universe of Energy attraction building. Previously, this building was fairly empty as much of the work was concentrated on the building holding much of the coaster track.
While we can’t see much, we can see that many contractors are on-site, moving the project along.
Near the Wonders of Life (soon to be the Play Pavilion), we can see a lot of materials being stored, ready for use in the show building.
On the side of the connecting building where the coaster track enters the main building, we can see a structure has gone vertical. We believe this is for storage of the trains as it is common for roller coasters to keep extra trains around in case of a maintenance issue.
That’s it for today! Be sure to check back soon as we keep an eye out for updates on construction at Epcot.
