Come with me to the France pavilion at Epcot and we’ll take a look at how construction is going on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.

There are a few notable changes since the last time we were here.

Most notably is the work happening on and around the facade for the attraction. The scaffolding has been up for a while now, but this is the most activity I’ve seen on it in some time. It appears as though they’re running the electrical pipes along the upper facade. This is the part of the facade that, through forced perspective, should appear to be the city skyline behind the main building. I would figure, then, that there would be lots of small lights to complete the illusion at night time.

They also have scrim up to the left while they work. This could be the first area to receive some actual wall over the insulation.

What we assume is the restroom building looks about the same.

Just beyond it, though, a new wall is being built. I can’t tell from here if it’s just a wall, or part of another structure. It’s pretty tall, though.

Work is progressing on re-finishing the facade on the side of the “Impressions de France” theater.

It looks like the wall along the waterway is about finished. This was the last section to be painted.

Just on the other side of the wall, in the guest-accessible parts of the pavilion, we can see that restroom building peeking just over the fence. We can see some of the wall refinishing happening on the side of the building from here, as well. Once the attraction is finished, guests will access the new area from this pathway.

Just announced at D23 yesterday, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is slated to open in Epcot in Summer 2020. We’ll keep you updated as the project continues. Are you excited for the new attraction? Let us know!
