Today we noticed a discrepancy between the mobile and physical menus at The Lunching Pad, which recently reopened in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom.
On the mobile order menu, a plain Mickey pretzel, Cream Cheese Warm Stuffed Pretzel, and Pepper Jack Warm Stuffed Pretzel are all listed.
Meanwhile, the physical menu lists the Jalapeño Pretzel, but not the Pepper Jack Pretzel.
After asking some Cast Members, it turns out that all three stuffed pretzel flavors are available! For now, Jalapeño is not available via mobile order, while Pepper Jack is not listed on the menu board. All three stuffed pretzel flavors are almost never available at the same time under the same roof.
We had to celebrate this occasion by grabbing ourselves the rare Jalapeño Pretzel.
The dough of the jalapeño pretzel is the standard used in every Disney pretzel. It was soft and fresh.
The pretzel is topped with melted cheese. We would have liked a little salt on top as well.
The filling is a cheese base with minced jalapeño in it. It’s very good, but barely spicy at all.
For better or worse, the cheese takes away all the heat, there’s just a hint of it lingering as an aftertaste.
Overall, this is a great snack and a wonderful alternative to the standard pretzel. It has a good flavor suitable for all palates. We just would have liked it to be saltier.
Each pretzel at The Lunching Pad (including a plain Mickey Pretzel) is $6.79. Which stuffed pretzel flavor is your favorite? Let us know in the comments.
Jalapeno is back!! Jalapeno is back! Thanks so much for the great news. I thought it was gone for good.
