While progress on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure seems to be stalled, construction hasn’t wrapped up at the France Pavilion expansion in EPCOT quite yet. Our last visit reported great strides towards the exterior being finished soon. We hopped on the Disney Skyliner to get a new look at the expansion area. Let’s take a look at where things stand now.
Though the entrance from the current guest area in France Pavilion appears finished, the presence of equipment and a tarp indicates otherwise.
This area looks beautiful and complete. The last time we photographed this building, the flowers hadn’t been installed in the second-story windows. New Rue Auguste Gusteau (Gusteau Street) and AllĆ©e Des Marchands (Alley of the Merchants) street signage has also been installed, signaling the intersection at which guests will be transported from the entrance to the attraction.
The orange netting shows us that construction crews don’t want traffic through this area, as tile has been freshly laid.
Crews haven’t finished laying the tile that skirts the sidewalk, thereby explaining the net.
There doesn’t appear to be any obvious work located in this back area.
Construction machines, a ladder, and other materials are stored in the backstage area. Otherwise, other relevant infrastructure appears fully installed.
These lifts continue to be used for construction workers for tasks at each of these structures. Still, crews have been organizing the area as it inches towards opening.
Certainly, the FastPass+, Single Rider, and Standby entrances have been installed at Remyās Ratatouille Adventure, but the ladder and tarp coverings reflect the need for more work.
The blue building needs second-floor flower arrangements. You can see the empty window planters. Perhaps we’ll see some new floral decorations soon.
From this angle, we can see that more tile work requires attention. Many of these details are minute compared to the bulk of the construction we’ve been following. On the outside, the construction crews seem to be working on finishing details.
Disney hasn’t yet announced an opening date for the pavilion expansion or for Remyās Ratatouille Adventure. However, the way things are shaping up on the outside, it may not be too far in the future. We’ll keep following this story and updating you on the progress, so keep checking back with us for more details.
