This year’s Festival of the Arts at EPCOT will bring an all-new Food Studio named “Vibrante & Vívido”, which translates from Spanish as “Vibrant & Vivid”, a nod to Mary Blair’s art fused with Latin American flavors inspired by Central and Southern America.
The Vibrante & Vívido Food Studio is located between Morocco and France, and was in the process of being set up today ahead of the start of the Festival this Friday. The Food Studio will also be a part of The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine.
The banner for the Food Studio features a colorblocked rainbow as well as a paintbrush.
The menu stand shows the various food and beverage items that will be sold. There’s a Chilled Seafood Cocktail that’s akin to a Peruvian ceviche, plus a unique Blue Corn Pupusa inspired by the national dish of El Salvador. A Passion Fruit Mousse dessert will feature a colorful chocolate topper.

Cast Members were training by the queue of the Food Booth, which also features small displays on Mary Blair. Mary Blair accompanied Walt Disney on his Latin America tour, which ultimately led to Saludos Amigos and The Three Caballeros. What she saw on her travels also heavily influenced her work on “it’s a small world”. The team first traveled South America before going to Mexico in 1942 and then Cuba in 1943.
We can’t wait to sample these delicious, artistic dishes with the start of Festival of the Arts tomorrow. Stay tuned for our colorful coverage and reviews starting tomorrow!
