Hello friends, and welcome to another gorgeous day here at Walt Disney World! We started out our day at the Magic Kingdom to check in on all the construction project here, and see what new things we could find. Let’s get started!
We found a piece of the illuminated canopy hanging in the air on the large crane in the construction site for TRON Lightcycle / Run. Workers were preparing to hoist it into place, but weren’t quite ready to do so when we were there.
We spotted some mystery items covered in scrim fabric inside the lower construction walls at the Mad Tea Party, which is currently still closed for refurbishment. We think they look suspiciously like saucers, don’t you?
We found the Gaston’s Tavern sign had received yet another coat of paint, this time a darker shade of brown. We much prefer this look to the lighter shade of brown. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
Just when we thought work was well underway on the queue of Peter Pan’s Flight, themed painted scrim has started being added to the scaffolding, signaling a longer refurbishment period to come. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
A new Instagram-worthy mural has appeared in the Magic Kingdom featuring none other than Orange Bird. Just around the corner from Sunshine Tree Terrance, this mural shows Orange Bird surrounded by flowers, holding a Citrus Swirl, thinking of love, and being watched by a happy sun. We are in love! For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
In addition to the mural, Sunshine Tree Terrace also got a new sign, declaring it to be the “Home of the Orange Bird”. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
To complete the transformation, the popular Orange Bird sipper is now available at Sunshine Tree Terrace.
We found several new pieces of merchandise to show you today, starting with the third installment of the “Artfully Evil” Limited Edition pin series. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
We found this new Minnie Mouse loungewear coordinating pair at The Emporium today. The tank is split open in the back for a breezy look, and retails for $29.99. The shorts are a comfortable fabric with an all-over Minnie Mouse print, and retail for $34.99.
We found the latest Spirit Jersey color trend in The Emporium, “Hydrangea”. A little difficult to photograph, this light purple Spirit Jersey is darker than the Lilac color, but much lighter than Purple Potion. The pet Spirit Jersey was noticeably darker than it’s human counterpart. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
We found several Easter designs now available in the MaDe shirt kiosk in Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. The first few were basic park and Mickey and Minnie designs.
The next few designs we found were literal Star Wars Easter Eggs. All shirts are customizable and start at $29.99.
We had a wonderful time at the Magic Kingdom, but we weren’t quite done yet! Next, we headed over to Disney Springs to check out what might be new there.
When we arrived, we noticed new signage as we entered the temperature screening area detailing what types of masks are not permitted on Disney property. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
When we exited the garage, we found banners decorating the light poles for Women’s History Month. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
First we stopped into World of Disney and noticed that the Rainbow Collection of merchandise is once again 30% off.
Next we headed over to Marketplace Snacks to try the new “Mrs. Incredible Float” and we have to say, despite our doubts, we really enjoyed this float. For more pictures and to read our full review, check out our article here.
Our last stop was The Ganachery, where we picked up this lovely treat. This is the Captain Marvel Piñata, which is a semisweet chocolate globe filled with Toffee Crunch. It comes with a wooden mallet to smash your way to the rest of the sweets. We loved this dessert! For more pictures and to read our full review, check out our article here.
We had a lovely day at Walt Disney World, and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
