Shanghai Disney Resort is celebrating its 5th Anniversary with a “Year of Magical Surprises”. The celebrations started strong with the debut of a new nighttime spectacular called “ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration.”
The brand-new nighttime celebration began on April 8th, replacing Ignite the Dream – A Nighttime Spectacular of Magic and Light. With state-of-the-art technology woven into a performance of light and shadow, a magical dream of the light inside of you is created. The show utilizes projection mapping, pyro, flames, fountains, lasers, and lighting for a fully immersive experience.
This show-stopping celebration is accompanied by the brand new song “Light Is In You”, written by English musician, singer, and composer Tom Fletcher. Watch the full video of “ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration” below.

It’s nice. The Marvel stuff works better than I thought it would. They used mostly smaller firework shells but Disney made it work and it still looks amazing.
