Disney Parks shared a TikTok tonight highlighting the show building for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway looming over Mickey’s Toontown. The building now hosts a tongue-in-cheek sign alluding to the currently unthemed structure.

The sign features Mickey and Minnie in construction helmets. It declares, “What big building? There’s no big building here! Paid for by the Toontown Department of Implausible Deniability.”

We hope this is temporary and will be replaced with cartoon hills like the ones removed before construction began, but the sign could be here to stay. Hopefully Disney will clarify this soon.

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is already open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida. The attraction was supposed to open at Disneyland in 2022, but construction was delayed due to the COVID-19 closure of the resort. The ride is now slated to open in 2023.
