Hello friends, and welcome to another very hot day here at the Magic Kingdom! It was a beautiful, clear day despite the heat, and we had a quiet day checking out all the new things here for you. Let’s get started!
On our way down Main Street, USA, we noticed that the Main Street Cinema had a new A-frame sign out front today, advertising to guests that “Sweets & Treats” could be found within.
Closer to Cinderella Castle along the outer ring of the Hub, we noticed new lights had been installed in the trees in preparation for the upcoming light show for the 50th Anniversary celebrations. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
Work has progressed quickly on the installation of the blue netting across the surface of the illuminated canopy of TRON Lightcycle / Run.
Nearby, the audio track was on outside of the Pete’s Silly Sideshow building. We hope this means that character meet and greets will be returning soon!
In Frontierland, we found the construction walls down a day ahead of schedule at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The walls were replaced with A-frame signs bearing the same themed closed signs as had been on the walls. We were able to go back into the ride observation area and found that they were running empty trains through the attraction.
On the Jungle Cruise, the drummer animatronics in the “Native Celebration” scene were still not functioning. These animatronics are the only remaining piece of this scene.
We found three new shirts at Star Traders today while browsing merchandise. The first was this tank featuring Mickey Mouse which retails for $34.99.
Next was this short sleeve “Aloha Beach” shirt for $36.99.
Last but not least, we found this long sleeve “Life Is Swell” shirt for $42.99.
We found a new upcoming Dooney & Bourke handbag collection featuring “it’s a small world” previewed at Uptown Jewelers today. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
Our favorite find of the day was this Limited Edition “Cruella” MagicBand. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
We had a wonderful time at the Magic Kingdom, and we hope you enjoyed coming along. Have a magical day!
