Welcome to another rainy day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. We made our way over to Universal Studios Florida first and were surprised by the low crowds on a Sunday.
It looked like it was going to rain, so we decided to take a ride on Men in Black: Alien Attack to stay dry. While waiting in the queue, we spotted some frames near one of the tents. This looks like it’s going to be used for a facade for Halloween Horror Nights.
Inside the queue, one of the aliens is missing. He’s out for refurbishment, so we’ll be looking forward to seeing him return.
We’ve been keeping an eye on the Fear Factor LIVE theater after noticing the new lighting that was recently installed. Hopefully, we’ll get some sort of announcement soon.
No line for Central Park Crepes! Never pass up on an opportunity to grab a quick crepe. The current seasonal offering is delicious.
It’s a quiet Sunday, thanks to the threat of rain. Always be prepared for quick rain showers in Florida during the summer!
The rain may be over, but there was still lightning in the area. Over at Islands of Adventure, there’s a very limited amount of rides that are open during bad weather.
Guests were lined up and awaiting VelociCoaster to reopen after being down for weather. The crowd cheered with excitement once the first vehicle zoomed by with riders. Good thing the weather cleared up quickly!
It’s strange to see such short lines for food around the parks on a Sunday. We’re not complaining, though!
Over at the Watering Hole, we noticed that the food offerings have been completely removed from the menu. We loved the nachos, so it’s unfortunate that they were taken off the menu. The drinks here are still some of the best in the park, so at least we can still grab a refreshing Bird of Paradise.
That’s all for this visit to the Universal Orlando Resort. Thanks for joining us today around the parks, and be sure to keep following Universal Parks News Today for all the latest updates!
Low crowds? Not on Tuesday. We were there and it was packed all day. Lowest line time was 50 minutes (with several in the hundreds). Even waited 35 for a butterbeer. Wish it would have been like your article pictures.
Well, the article was about Sunday, not Tuesday. So that might have had something to do with the difference lol.
Hey, I’m the bartender shown in the picture of the front of the Watering Hole. I’m Chris and come see me anytime!!!
WE LOVE THE WATERING HOLE!
