Hello from another steamy day here at the Magic Kingdom! It was an exciting day here at the park, and well worth the heat for the news we found today. Let’s get started!

On our way into the park this morning, we noticed that guests were being parked on the opposite side of the parking lot at the Transportation and Ticket Center than normal. While this may seem trivial, we’ve been on the lookout for any changes that could lead to the return of the parking lot trams. While this change alone doesn’t seem to point that way, we’re hopeful that they’ll return soon!

The topmost portion of the painted scrim covering the Main Street Station was removed last night, revealing a bit of the building underneath. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.

The final piece of Cinderella Castle’s decorations for the upcoming 50th Anniversary celebrations was installed last night. The large “50” medallion with its “EARidescent” color scheme is now the focal point of the Castle, sitting overtop of the iconic clock face. Pavement work continues on the bridge leading into Tomorrowland, with only one small sliver of the original gear pavement left now.

buzz-lightyear-space-ranger-spin-reopens-magic-kingdom-07232021

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin reopened today after a short refurbishment. We rode the attraction to see if we could find any noticeable differences but were unable to find anything. The refurbishment was likely to work on unseen mechanical maintenance.

Some of the metal framework we saw delivered to the TRON Lightcycle / Run construction site a few days ago has been installed and is now vertical.

The castle at Be Our Guest Restaurant was being power washed today as a part of the ongoing refurbishment of the facade.

The crashed plane on the Jungle Cruise has been decorated with a name, “The Amazing Hathaway Browne.” For more pictures and information, check out our article here.

Changes for cultural sensitivity have begun on the Adventureland entrance sign, starting with the removal of one of the masks that adorned the top of the pole on the back right of the sign. We’ll be watching this area closely for further developments.

The Mickey & Friends Cavalcade used automobiles today instead of their traditional float. With no rain in sight, we were surprised to see this change and will be keeping an eye on this in the future.

While browsing The Emporium, we were surprised to see a whole wall of damaged or misprinted princess mugs being sold at full price. Hopefully, guests notice before purchasing one of these flawed pieces, and they are pulled from shelves before too long.

Despite it being well after the usual season for Americana merchandise, we found three new phone case designs in the MaDe kiosk featuring patriotic Mickey and Minnie. Standard phone cases start at $29.99, and Specialty phone cases start at $34.99.

We also found two Americana magnet designs now available in the kiosk. Magnets start at $14.99.
