We’re walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. on our way to see the brand new 50th medallion that was installed overnight on Cinderella Castle in honor of the resort’s 50th anniversary in October.

Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle first revealed this addition earlier this morning via Instagram.

The medallion fits in perfectly with the new paint job and decorations on Cinderella Castle.

The golden numbers rest upon an EARidescent background.

It feels a bit odd to see the clock replaced, but we’re sure that we’ll be used to this new addition in “no time.”

While the “Partners” statue undergoes its refurbishments, our attention goes right to the beautiful medallion behind them.

  1. Wow, is that ugly AND cheap. Can’t wait till it falls off in the next three months…

  2. Looks pretty good! I’m not crazy about all the design choices they’ve made for the 50th, but this looks nice. I like the classy lettering and I appreciate the little architectural details, like the little flourishes on the top that match the castle behind it. That really helps make it look like part of the structure and not just something stuck on the front of it.

  3. WDWNT – the “no time” pun was one of the best I’ve heard in a while…bravo! Certainly not lost on me.
