Biometric finger scanning is returning to the entrances of Walt Disney World theme parks. After resuming at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this week, finger scanning is now back at EPCOT.
The finger scanners were covered and out of use for over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Guests must now tap their ticket, MagicBand, or phone on the Mickey scanner and then place their finger on the biometric scanner in order to enter.
We expect to see scans resuming at Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios soon.
