Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa recently debuted its newly refurbished lobby. While checking out the remodel, we also made a stop at the Artist’s Palette to try the 50th anniversary Crème Brûlée Éclair.
Crème Brûlée Éclair – $5.99
Crème Brûlée Custard, Sugar Crust, Caramel Ganache, with a Milk Chocolate Disc
The sugar crust on top is reminiscent of a crème brûlée. There is a line of caramel ganache, which tastes more chocolate than caramel, that holds onto the sugar decoration and milk chocolate medallion.
The éclair itself is standard with a crème brûlée custard inside.
While the filling didn’t remind us much of crème brûlée, the pastry as a whole is delicious, and you definitely get crème brûlée when you have all of the elements in one bite. The sugar crust adds a nice crunch to the dessert, and the ganache adds a richness to counteract the sweet. We really liked this one and would get it again.
