Rise of the Resistance and Tower of Terror Delay Opening for Hours, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Still Not Open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster did not open with the rest of Disney’s Hollywood Studios this morning and remains closed. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance also did not open with the park, but are now operating according to My Disney Experience.

The park opened at 8:00 a.m. so Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has been closed for approximately three hours. We don’t know if it will open later today.

Recently, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has had frequent delayed openings or days-long closures, including earlier this month.

  1. As a Disney parks goer we have to be mentally strong when we head to HS because HS is where everything’s delayed up and we don’t matter. Disney exec’s you can’t treat us like the rules on who’s line is it anyway!!! Multi billion dollar company who can’t figure it out, why? Maybe it has something with the power source of getting fantasmic finalized?
Having fantasmic open soon will help.

  2. IMHO.. The CEO is running Disney World into the ground. Things were much better under Bob Eiger who kept up Walt’s idea of family fun. Disney World is all about the dollar and doesn’t seem to care about much else. Equipment breakdowns are more and more frequent leading me to believe they are cutting maintenance cycles to save money. Disney is known as the most magical place on earth and it seems their best magic now is to make your money disappear.
