One of the few attractions yet to reopen at Disneyland Resort since the COVID-19 shutdown is Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. The lagoon has been surrounded by construction walls, drained, and under refurbishment. The first projected opening date was winter 2021. Then just winter. Then no projected opening date as winter bled into spring and now into summer. But a reopening seems to be getting closer as the lagoon was recently refilled.
There has been another step forward this week as water jets are operating at the attraction.
We saw bubbles in the lagoon water.
A tarp remains over one rock formation.
Hopefully, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage will resurface this summer. Are you excited to return to the water with Nemo and friends? Let us know in the comments.

Now, this is how a proper refurbishment should be done! All the tiny details should be entirely replaced with new ones that will last longer and bring such a new visual experience. Just like this. Get all the nooks and crannies until they too are fixed right up! This looks so beautiful, and epically done as well! (Be nice if they kept 20,000 leagues under the sea.) I hope the elements inside the main-show building have also received the same treatment.
Now, the Indiana Jones Adventure should go through such a refurb and Imagineers should make it look brand new, yet, while keeping that old feel. Get all the issues fixed, which, I will not list all issues here due to the amount of problems there are. To list a few; The jeep music/SFX LCU, timing issues with software LCU recognition, Mapping projection on mara syncing delay, and much more.
They recently just fixed up Indiana Jones over the COVID shut down. It runs MUCH BETTER. The animatronics could definitely use a refurbishment or upgrade but as far as the track goes and the trucks, the hydraulics seem much smoother and having FAR less break downs. Going in August so I can’t wait to see the improvements done to Big Thunder Railroad cause that was shut down last time I went and it was down for quite some time. We got to at least see the rocks and they’ve definitely have been cleaned and repainted
Its sad to see just how bad Disney put the dollar before the family time.Walt invisioned mom and dad
and kids enjoying a day together without a worry. They have priced it so far out of rang for the actual people Walt s dream was meant for. I grew up there during my first 18 years.2 times a year my parents took us all, summer and Christmas time. It was a very special time in my life, you cant put any price on memories, and because of just plain greed, your looseing sight of Wales TRUE Vision.
Subs are the BEST!If Disneyland needs a Submarine Operator, call me….
