After the complete demolition of the Spirit of Aloha building at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, the rubble has been removed from the site.
The demolition site is surrounded by green scrim fencing.
The building has been demolished to make way for a new Disney Vacation Club wing.
Some pick-up trucks and a few construction vehicles are parked on the site, which is now mostly just a dirt lot.
It is fully visible during a Monorail ride.
There are still some piles of rubble, but not as many as we saw a few weeks ago.
There are two blue dumpsters full of rubble.
Some concrete flooring is still visible beneath the dirt.
An excavator is parked on one patch of foundation that remains intact.
There is a green shed nearby.

This is a TRAVESTY!!!! The Spirit of Aloha brought many people together through songs, music, dance and excellent food! Disney preaches unity, yet they demolished an icon that brought MANY people together…and for what??!!?!! More villas?!?! It’s disgusting! They took away the only authentic part of the Polynesian experience!!! MANY people were looking forward to going back to the luau especially after the pandemic! They stole the essence of what makes memories!!! Shame on them!!!
