Spirit of Aloha Building Completely Demolished at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

The Spirit of Aloha dinner show building has officially been demolished to make way for a new Disney Vacation Club wing. Our last update saw the final layer of the old dinner show in place just a few days ago, so progress is going steady.

From the monorail, we spotted several blue dumpsters full of sheet metal and construction trash. An excavator can be seen nearby.

The leftovers from the demolition have been pushed into neat not-so-little piles.

  1. Very sad! I wanted to take my daughter for our trip in 2020 and then Covid hit. We went last year but it wasn’t running and I had hoped to take her this year. Guess that will never happen.

  2. Wow, that was quick. I just rode by on the monorail this week and the excavator was in the middle of the building still. Going to miss it, as cheesy as the show was, it was still a very fun show.

  3. I am very sorry to see The Spirit of Aloha Dinner show leave. I saw the show once and I loved it it was just as good as going to Hawaii to see it. I wanted my husband to see it since he wasn’t with me the first time. They brought back the Hoop de doo I can’t see why they couldn’t bring back The Aloha show.
