Celebrate fall with a new Pastrami Sandwich and Chocolate-Espresso Bread Pudding from Pacific Wharf Café at Disney California Adventure.
Pastrami Sandwich – $12.69
Ghost Pepper Cheese Sauce and House-made Sauerkraut on a Toasted French Roll
This sandwich is fantastic. It’s simple — a mere three ingredients, but they come together so well that it feels like a million bucks.
The shaved pastrami is topped with a white cheese-ghost pepper sauce that is thick and rich, but never overpowers. It’s a nice complement to the pastrami but it knows its place and never overtakes the pastrami flavor.
The sauerkraut provides a vinegar bite to cut through the thick cheese sauce and helps to keep all the flavors in balance.
Overall, this is a great sandwich. It’s not trying to do anything super new or inventive, it’s just a solid offering that Pacific Wharf Café should be very proud of. We hope this remains on the menu for a long time.
Chocolate-Espresso Bread Pudding – $6.49
With Crème Anglaise, Whipped Topping, Gummy Eyeball and Toasted Pecans
Another dish hits it out of the park from Pacific Wharf Café. This deep, dark, roasty and chocolatey bread pudding is gooey and so decadent.
The creme anglaise provides a welcome respite from the rich chocolate within the bread pudding but even still, a little bit goes a long way.
This dessert is very rich and despite its small size, it seems to be enough for two or maybe even three people to share as a wonderful finale to their meal at Pacific Wharf Café.
