Planters Removed From Around Aladar and DINOSAUR Fountains in Disney’s Animal Kingdom

The rolling planters have finally been removed from around Aladar the Iguanodon and the fountains in front of DINOSAUR in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The planters have surrounded the fountains since at least September 2022. The above photo is from October.

Now guests get a good view of Aladar when they approach the attraction.

He stands in his own square-shaped fountain, surrounded by plants.

Aladar isn’t just the star of DINOSAUR the ride, but also of the often forgotten 2000 film.

Aladar himself was repainted early in 2020.

The long fountain directly in front of the building was also previously surrounded by planters.

The planters likely hid the fountains while a simple refurbishment took place.

  1. Dinosaur has past it’s time much like the dinosaurs. Some anamatronics stop working lighting is off and effects to cover certain areas inside the ride don’t work so it takes away the magic.

  2. I like the ride but have not brought my own kids on it as it is incredibly loud and they are a bit sensitive to loud noise… it willie be the most intense ride i think they have been on. they are still young so maybe in a few years :)

  3. A must for sure! They just need to pad them seats. The surrounding area dinoland needs love for sure. So glad to see Dinosaur will be running for our trip this year!
