The new Peter Pan & Wendy: More Stories to Tell featurette has debuted online which highlights the expanded story elements and the epic scope of the upcoming Disney + original movie.
Peter Pan & Wendy: More Stories to Tell Featurette
The “More Stories” featurette features Jude Law and the rest of the cast of “Peter Pan & Wendy” as they give a ‘behind the adventure’ look at the new movie debuting on Disney + on April 28.
David Lowery, the director of the movie, starts the video by saying:
“Peter Pan is one of the crown jewels of the Disney library. The idea of adapting it in live action was very daunting, but ultimately I decided it was too good an opportunity to pass up.”
Scenes from the highly anticipated adaptation are playing in the background while the cast from the movie gives us the inside scoop.
Producer Jim Whitaker says that they took a new approach to the story and that it will be the story of Peter Pan told through Wendy’s eyes.
In this adaptation of the film, Jude Law plays a “deliciously evil” Captain Hook. In the behind the scenes look, Law talk about enemies Captain Hook and Peter Pan saying that “this iteration looks at why the feud between the two of them started.”
The featurette is packed with action and exciting scenes from the upcoming movie.
Yara Shahidi, who plays Tinkerbell, explains that viewers will “get the magic of what we love about the original, but in this rendition, there’s more stories to tell.”
This version of “Peter Pan” will be “more human, more possible.” according to Jude Law, who plays Captain Hook.
Walt Disney Studios shared a featurette of the movie on their YouTube page:
“Peter Pan & Wendy” will premiere April 28 exclusively on Disney +.

Peter Pan & Wendy
The film stars Jude Law as Captain Hook, Alexander Molony as Peter Pan, Ever Anderson as Wendy Darling, Yara Shahidi as Tinker Bell, Alyssa Wapanatâhk as Tiger Lily, Jim Gaffigan as Mr. Smee, Molly Parker as Mary Darling, and Alan Tudyk as George Darling. David Lowery (“Pete’s Dragon”) directs, with Jim Whitaker as producer and a screenplay by Lowery and Toby Halbrooks.
Wendy and her brothers encounter Pan, a boy who refuses to grow up, and follow him away from their home on a journey to the far and fantastical Neverland. There, they encounter the evil Captain Hook, entangling themselves in Neverland’s greatest adventures and most dangerous conflicts.
This live-action Disney+ film is a remake of the 1953 Disney animated classic, which traces its own origin to the 1904 play “Peter Pan; or, the Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up,” by J.M. Barrie.
The story has been utilized in cinema multiple times, from Steven Spielberg’s “Hook” to Disney’s own “Return to Never Land” — a 2002 sequel to the animated film following Wendy’s daughter Jane amid the Second World War.
“Peter Pan & Wendy” will be the first time Disney has ventured back to feature-length big screen Pan adventures in over twenty years.
