The wildly popular Toy Story Mania! attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be closed for a whole week in June as complete the new queue and entrance for the attraction. Official dates of closure are June 11th through June 18th, reopening on June 19th.
When Toy Story Land opens, the entrance and exit for Toy Story Mania! will be located in the new land, and not Pixar Place like it currently is.
Toy Story Land is slated to open to the public on June 30, 2018.

If the entrance is being relocated and when it opens the old entrance will be gone wouldn’t this seem to point out that Toy Story Land should be soft opening at least by June 19? How else would you get on the attraction June 19 if the old entrance is closed then? Just an observation. what do you think?
My guess would be that, of course the construction for the new entrance/exit would happen during that week off (11th-18th) but would find a way to keep the current entrance/exit available and accessible by the use of partitions or temporary walls until June 30th at which time (on the 30th) they would take away the construction partitions/walls opening up the new entrance/exit and moving said partitions/walls to the old entrance/exit…lastly, an aesthetic remodel/removal of the old entrance/exit wold take place anytime after the 30th without having any disruption to patrons. If not that, then a very limited access would be allowed to those riding TSM with the probability of partition/walls limiting their view of TSL…
That’s all a guess of course…
There are still ways to get into the building from the current front side of the building. They could just use part of the inside queue, or none of it until June 30th
I’m guessing this also means that they won’t be bringing back fast passes until then. Or is there still a possibility of day-of fast passes in the near future?
I wonder if this will have any impact on the Buzz and Woody meet & greet that happens near the current TSMM entrance. I was planning to visit them after rope dropping TSMM but now that plan is gone.
Its nice to know its not just Tom that leaves out words in his articles.
