Death Eaters have been confirmed to appear in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Diagon Alley this Halloween season at Universal Studios Florida.
Death Eaters in Diagon Alley
We first reported the rumor on July 2, and Universal has finally confirmed that The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will play a larger role this Halloween season. It’s unclear if the Death Eaters will appear during Halloween Horror Nights and/or during regular park hours, but they are confirmed to appear on select dates between September 1 – November 4. While Diagon Alley has been open during Halloween Horror Nights in the past, there have been no decorations or participation in the event.
Death Eaters first appeared at Universal’s Islands of Adventure in Hogsmeade Village during The Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle. Last year, a Death Eater scare zone was added to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood. Death Eaters have never appeared in Diagon Alley before.
Set pieces were already installed around London and Diagon Alley (and its offshoots, Knockturn Alley and Carkitt Market). A small stage is also set up, although the Death Eaters don’t usually do a full show.
Death Eaters at Universal Orlando Resort
Death Eaters are the servants of Lord Voldemort, the main antagonist in the “Harry Potter” series. They are known for terrorizing, torturing, and killing Muggles (non-magical people). Some famous Death Eaters include Bellatrix Lestrange, Lucius Malfoy, and Barty Crouch Jr.
Borgin and Burkes, in Knockturn Alley (part of Diagon Alley) at Universal Studios Florida, sells Death Eater paraphernalia, including masks, t-shirts, and more.

Halloween Horror Nights 32 is an after-hours, hard-ticket event that will take place at Universal Studios Florida on select nights from September 1 through November 4.
