Ahead of the next round of Cast Member previews for EPCOT’s newest attraction, Disney Parks on Twitter has shared a new video inside Journey of Water Inspired by “Moana.”

Take a Look Inside Journey of Water

The video was shared this morning to Twitter, announcing that “Cast Members will be among the first groups of voyagers to experience” the attraction.

The video opens with a shot of this rock sculpture featuring the symbol for the heart of Te Fiti. A waterfall cascades down from the top.

Next is a group shot of Cast Members — wearing their new World Nature costumes — waving to presumably activate the dancing water fountains inside the attraction.

One effect shown off was this multi-stream fountain, which Cast Members were running their hands through.

It appears that each water effect will have a sign visualizing how guests can play and interact with it. This sign implies that a sound will be linked to the interaction with this effect.

One part of the video also showed off this rockwork featuring an sculpture of Moana emerging from the rock, oar in hand.

We also got to see this shot of Te Fiti herself, looking over a pool of water and two small waterfalls.

At the very end, the group of Cast Members gather together again to raise a giant fountain of water.

Construction walls around this attraction were partially removed recently, and replaced with rolling planters. Journey of Water Inspired by “Moana” is scheduled to open in “late 2023.”

Journey of Water, Inspired by “Moana” is a “self-guided outdoor trail where you can play with water as it travels from the sky to the oceans and back again.”

It will have a wet path and a dry path for guests who don’t want to get wet. It seems there won’t be MagicBand+ interaction.

Te Fiti Figure Journey of Water

“Along with Moana as a steward of water conservation, Te Fiti is a symbol of how we should protect and nurture water wherever we find it,” Reid Ekman, Lead Concept Designer at Walt Disney Imagineering, said of the giant Te Fiti figure at the attraction. “This is an important theme in Journey of Water, where guests will learn more about how water travels from our skies to the ocean, and back again. This story will unfold along a lush trail inspired by the environments and art style of the beloved Walt Disney Animation Studios film.”

Another video was previously shared on TikTok previewing some of the water effects in the attraction. You can watch it here.
