*NEW* Autumn Chili featuring IMPOSSIBLE Beef with Root Vegetables, Plant-Based Cheddar, and Plant-Based Sour Cream in a Bread Bowl – $6.50

A New Food & Wine favorite: bread bowl chili with cheese and sour cream, served outdoors in a garden.

The meat did not have a good consistency, and there was not much spice. The bread wasn’t bad, but it was very dry. This was disappointing and mushy.

Three ravioli with shaved cheese, pomegranate seeds, crispy sage, and chopped nuts—a Food & Wine delight.

There is a lot going on in this dish. The pumpkin filling offers a sweetness, the pomegranate seeds are sweet, and the cheese offers a funky, tangy flavor. The crunch from the pomegranate seeds and hazelnut praline also added a nice texture.

*NEW* Schiacciata Sandwich: Mortadella, Prosciutto Ham, Sun-Dried Peppers, Arugula, Stracciatella Cheese, Fall Squash Mostarda, and Pistachio Pesto on Warm Focaccia – $6.25

This was a very standard and basic sandwich. We truly thought this was going to be disappointing and stale, but overall, the flavors were good and the bread was decent.

*NEW* Brewery Ommegang All Hallows Treat Chocolate Peanut Butter Imperial Stout, Cooperstown, NY (7.6% ABV) – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

From Brewery Ommegang: “Sweet and spooky like the perfect Halloween night, All Hallows Treat rekindles your favorite childhood holiday memories. Aromas and flavors of dark chocolate, creamy peanut butter, and a soft vanilla finish swirl with a smooth body and medium mouthfeel. It’s the perfect throwback that brings you to your first bite of a chocolate peanut butter cup.”

*NEW* Daou Vineyards Chardonnay, Paso Robles, CA ($18/bottle) – $6.50

According to Daou Vineyards, this wine “presents enticing scents of pear, passion fruit and pineapple augmented by hints of honeysuckle, white peach, nutmeg and buttered toast. The nose is rounded out by nuances of crushed hazelnut, hibiscus, papaya and vanilla. A lush, vibrant palate displays tropical flavors of mango, kiwi and pineapple with kisses of golden apple and clover honey. Suggestions of casaba melon, citrus zest and toasty oak persist on a clean, balanced finish.”

*NEW* Famille Hugel Classic Pinot Noir, Alsace, France ($23/bottle) – $6.50

From Famille Hugel: “Don’t be fooled by its dashing ruby color and bright highlights, this pinot noir really has a lot to say for itself. The aroma brings to mind morillo cherries, kirsch, red-current and fresh tobacco with all the clear and abundant fruitiness of an Alsatian wine with no unwanted woody aromas to mask them. On the palate it is wonderfully fresh. The tannin is present but not too hard along with a nice texture that fades away to leave a beautiful structured melody for the final, not too dry, note. A genuine and effective Alsatian Pinot.”
