It’s been a minute since we checked in on the Disney Skyliner turn point station by Disney’s Boardwalk Resort, but we’re glad to report that walls are officially down, giving us a close-up look at the grand and miraculous structure.
All of the siding has been completed, along with staircases installed for emergency evacuations and maintenance. Do note that this will not be a boarding station, but is required to get guests over to Epcot. All new foliage has also been planted along the entire area.
The turn is located right next to Buena Vista Drive on the far side of the current Boardwalk parking lot. The structure is about 50 feet off of the ground, making for a pretty high turn. Parking and pick-ups in this area have been impacted ever since construction started, but it seems parking has finally opened up here.
This turn will take Skyliner route down Buena Vista Drive traveling from Epcot, and vice versa if you’re going the other way obviously. The Buena Vista Drive route has stations at Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and Pop Century/Art of Animation Resorts. Service to Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be available from the Caribbean Beach Resort station.
Stay tuned for all the latest Skyliner updates as we close in on the opening season for the new and upcoming transportation system.
It’s “been a minute” since that particular expression was endearing…or even interesting.
