PHOTOS: Tomorrowland Entrance Sign Already Removed at the Magic Kingdom

Well, it seems the iconic Tomorrowland sign (that was installed during the 1994 New Tomorrowland revamp) has already been removed from Magic Kingdom. Initial reports were that the sign would be removed sometime this week, but when our reporters hit the parks this morning, they noticed something big missing.

The new marquee should emulate the look and feel of the ongoing updates to Tomorrowland. There isn’t a time frame at the moment for when the new marquee will grace the bridge from the hub to Tomorrowland.

Stay tuned to WDWNT as we bring you updates to the changes coming to Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom.

  1. Do you think you could include before and after photos in posts like this? Assuming you actually have a before photo of course.

Would make it easier to appreciate the changes.

  2. Chapek felt the existing structure provided too much shade for the 1.5 seconds you walked under it.

The new sign will be a crystal clear plexiglass umbrella ☂
