Tomorrowland Entrance Sign at the Magic Kingdom To Be Redesigned, Temporarily Removed

The iconic sign which towers over the entrance to Tomorrowland is due to be removed this week, with a redesigned sign set to be installed later this summer.

As we know, the whole of Tomorrowland is already in the midst of receiving some much-needed rejuvenation work. We’ve already seen a snazzy new orange, teal and white color scheme being painted across the landscape, with these bold pops of color really standing out beneath the speedy construction of the TRON roller coaster, looming in the distance. Recently, futuristic new bottle refill stations were installed at Cosmic Rays, saving Tomorrow by limiting the need for single-use plastic bottles. All these improvements are pointing towards that great, big, beautiful new Tomorrowland, shining ready for the 50th anniversary of the Magic Kingdom in 2021.

The bridge will remain open whilst the marquee is missing. So, other than a lack of signposting, the land won’t be impacted. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to WDWNT for all of the updates on the Tomorrowland renovation project and more!

  1. Now if only they will show the love to Walt’s treasure, the Carousel of Progress and give it a total top to bottom refurb for the upcoming 50th…I’ll be a happy man.

  2. yet ANOTHER CLASSIC DISNEY ATTRACTION falling by the wayside. When will Bob Chapek and his corporate shills LEARN THAT WE TRUE DISNEY FANS built this park with our hard earned fan dollars.?? what’s next MICKEY MOUSE replaced with the RAT from RATatouille? smh

  3. I’ll be sad to see this go. I personally love the design of Tomorrowland, maybe because it has been this way for my whole life. Hopefully, the new design is awesome.
