I can’t wait for the upcoming all-night party that will kick off a Monstrous Summer at Disney Parks on May 24, 2013. I had a blast at last year’s 24-hour party with my fiancée, so I imagine this one will be even more “eye-mazing!” As part of Limited Time Magic, Disney Theme Park Merchandise has created some commemorative items featuring Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan, stars of Disney•Pixar’s upcoming film “Monsters University.” Here are some things you can expect starting May 24. Disney just announced (via a giant projection on Spaceship Earth) that the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure will be open for 24 hours on May 24th, 2013: Our first-ever, three-park all-night party is happening at the Magic Kingdom Park in Florida and Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park in California. The parks will stay open from 6 a.m., May 24 to 6 a.m., May 25, 2013, local time. I took a quick trip to the Disneyland Resort today and captured a few photos from both Downtown Disney and Disney California Adventure. Starting in Downtown Disney, the stage by ESPN Zone is being replaced AMC showing romance movies for Valentines Week  Temporary stage setup down the way  Over in DCA, the Glendale Hyperion bridge was painted again  Here is the other side for comparison which still has the beige color  World of Color just went though two weeks of refurbishment and I noticed some small new things  Some new LED rings on some of the fountains  and also a new mist screen nozzle on the front screen that looks a bit different than the old one  The rear mist screen look the same as they did before. Video: New Instant Concert!… Just Add Water With Main Street Electrical Parade Music

Watch as Paradise Bay comes to life with the symphonic sounds of the Main Street Electrical Parade’s Baroque Hoedown. It appears that the show can do a different set of songs when Maestro Goofy is unavailable to conduct the fountains.   The music is from an album recored by The Cincinnati Pops called Disney Spectacular.

Conner went to the Disneyland resort on the 9th of this month. He was able to capture photo’s of the Main Street U.S.A train station refurbishment and continued construction on Royal Hall. He also grabbed photo’s of all the renovations and entertainment happening in Frontierland. Conner captured some photos of Muppet Vision 3D which recently returned. My best advice for someone starting a Disney pin collection is to pick a certain theme and trade for what you like. For years, we have offered mini-collections that are an easy way to jump start a collection. I spoke with Jeanne Lewis, merchandiser for Disney pins, about some of these new collections arriving in 2013. “We have new limited edition pin collections coming to Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts next year,” explained Jeanne. “Some pins will be released each month, while others may be released every other month or once each quarter.
