Conner Purzycki’s 7/29/11 DLR Photo Report

I was at the Disneyland Resort recently and was able to capture some newsworthy photos to share. A little shorter than my usual photo reports but it is the summer so it is usually the slow season when it comes to news. Photos include Cars Land, Carthay Circle Theater, and much more…

The towers on the Golden Gate Bridge are now completely gone

Carthay Circle Theater

More on that later

The Condor Flats sign is once again rotating.

Walls surrounding the front of the California Zephyr

Time is almost up for Engine Ears Toys and Greetings From California

We were wondering if this facade would be changed. It looks like it could fit the 1920’s feel of Buena Vista Street if it got a little TLC and a better store on the inside

Only part of Disney Channel Rocks that I enjoy, World of White

Looks like Lady Bug Boogie had another major break down. All the lady bugs have been removed and somewhat permanent signs have been placed. Keep in mind this was not scheduled.

A look at the Hollywood entrance

Because you cant really tell if its rotating from a picture, here is a quick shot of the condor flats sign at another angle

The new turnstiles

Not much going on in Disneyland

The somewhat new flags above the Disneyland turnstiles

Work in the Emporium continues

The Mattehorn’s refurbishment continues…

What the bobsleds look like when they are not cleaned daily

Quick photo of the Moonliner

Here’s a closer look at the new backstage path behind Soarin’ that guests entering the park will take once Buena Vista Street prevents guests from entering the park directly

What it looks like on the other side. This is where guests will be coming into the park now.

Cars Land

Mater’s Shack has been put up

Looks like all the sculpting is done on the Cadillac range

Noticed some new photos up in Blue Sky Cellar of the new Paradise Pier Resturants

Also some photos of Luigi’s flying tires from an angle we don’t usually see

You can see the tire planters already in place

Wrapping up this report is a picture of the Carthay Circle Theater from the monorail

Thanks for Reading!

  1. Thanks for the updates, Conner! Not being able to make it out to Disneyland as often as I want I appreciate seeing what's going on at the parks!
