  1. as we approach the 100th episode, how about a behind the scenes special.

i.e. lets see blind box studios, introduce us to the female voice behind the opening, lets see the infamous mystery bag (or maybe a contest on we think it would look like, if it did exists)

      • All great ideas! If we stay on track, the 100th will be around Thanksgiving. Supposedly, Fantasyland expansion will be open around then. We are thinking about recording at WDW inside Fantasyland. I like the idea for a behind the scenes thing. I’ll work on that. And yes, we have discussed numerous times about adding video, it is just so time consuming. Would you, our listeners, be interested in an enhanced podcast with pictures of the vinyls if we took the time to put it together?

As it is right now, I have two windows open when I listen to your podcast in pop up. One to listen on and the other to scroll through your site and look at the vinyl’s your talking about. I think it’s a lot easier then you putting in the extra effort to add photos to the podcast.

          • (Sorry typo) yes because every time i listen to your podcast, im always searching on your website for the things your talking about on the show. If you make the podcast video, i can just sit back and enjoy.

  2. about the classics collection, another chaser could be alice, from the very first alice cartoon!

  3. I’m pretty sure we will get another kid and animal from It’s A Small World. If I remember correctly, IASW was gonna be a subset within the Park Starz series.

  4. What is the future of vinylmations? There are some major issues happening with the hobby we all love that I’m concerned is going to have a negative impact to the hobby.
1-Trash vinylmations being sold on E-bay. How can Disney and E-bay allow stolen trash vinylmations to be sold everyday on the site. These vinyls are being infiltrated into the population of the vinylmation world and it seems no one wants to do anything about it. This will catch up and effect all vinyls out there.

2-Release day of new figures . I was recently at D Street in Orlando and watched cast members going in and out to purchase as many limited release vinylmations that they could get and using their cast member discount. Why does any cast member need 4, 6 and 8 of the same vinylmation? Then within in the next couple of days you can see these same vinylmation being sold on E-bay with locations in Orlando, Kississmme and Celebration. Disney look at your cast members trying to make a quick dollar off other collectors within the country.

3-Over production within the hobby. Disney stop and take a look at other hobbies and how they failed due to much of a good thing. Vinylmations were fun because they were a new and unique item and people loved to be able to put a set together, now Disney is producing so much people are limited what they like or can afford and dumping everything else. Basic business is supply and demand and that is why you keep so much vinylmation at hugh discounts online and at the outlets , remember last year online clearance dump.

I love collecting and I’m thankful that I have been able to have a very large collection but do worry about the hobby and thought maybe this could get someone else to think . If anyone from Disney reads this I hope at least you can get the trash vinylmations under control.

    • I 100% agree with all of your concerns. These things have taken a lot of the fun out of the hobby.

    • I dont like to think about it a lot, but sometimes I think newer vinyls are becoming “perfect” toys (so tasty, light up) instead of collectables

      • for example, a few weeks ago i picked up some urban 3’s from the outlet, and one had 2 left arms. I love it!
