If you’ve seen the hit film Guardians of the Galaxy, you undoubtedly know all about “Awesome Mix Vol. 1,” a mix tape of retro-1970s gems given to Peter Quill by his mother. Well it appears that “a mysterious gang of villains has stolen that prized cassette, and Peter Quill – you may know him as the legendary Star-Lord – is on his way back to Earth on a mission to retrieve it.” At least this is the backstory Disney is giving for the “Guardians of the Galaxy” Awesome Mix Tape Dance Party now scheduled as part of the “Villains Unleashed” event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on August 23. The dance party will be held in Stage 5 in the Animation Courtyard (Disney Junior: Live on Stage location). Disney is promoting that the Star Lord and Gamora characters from the film will be making an appearance to retrieve the “tape” during the party. This will make the pair the very first Marvel characters to appear at Walt Disney World. 
So, have you been convinced to buy a ticket yet?

I hope they continue this for future events. My kids would die to meet Star Lord and Gamora!
Don’t tell me they are going through the trouble of casting those characters and making those costumes for one event. Surely they will be at MNSSHP as well!
