FIRST LOOK: 2018 Merchandise for Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort; Goodbye Tower of Terror

I know that it’s May 2017, but who doesn’t want a preview of the 2018 merchandise for Disney Parks?

The Walt Disney World Resort will be dropping the Tower of Terror from merchandise in 2018 in favor of the Pan Pacific Auditorium entrance from Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I wouldn’t read into this too much as Disney has stated they have no plans to overlay the Florida attraction.

Both resorts are calling 2018 “The Year to be Here”.

What do you think of the 2018 merchandise?

  1. I prfered the design the last 2 years this design for 2018 is blah at most. So I think looks like when we go this time no year merchandise as souvenirs.

  2. I think this design is adorable. What is there to complain about. Love it . Go every 2 years.

  3. How can I purchase the 2018 calender?because I plan on going in November of 2018and I wanna mark the day as a countdown…thanks

    • It hasn’t come out yet and probably won’t for a few more months. Since, ya know, the year isn’t even half over yet…..

    • You should be able to buy the calander on the Shop Disney app. Usually they start selling calendars around September for the following year.

  4. Tower gets dropped? That can only mean one thing…… “Ooga Chaka, Ooga Chaka, Ooga Chaka, Ooga Chaka”

  5. why is 2018 the “year to be here” ?!?!? are there big plans in the work??? paint the night?!?! to go with the Happily ever after!!!!

  6. I can’t wait for 2018 to come and I hope Guardians of the Galaxy to be in Universe of Energy @ Epcot!

  7. Cannot wait for this apparel including all Disney Apparel and even the Epcot’s 35th Anniversary Apparel.

  8. If I’m going in December of this year, would they still have the 2017 merchandise since it still would be 2017, or would they just get rid of them before 2018? Also, when do they get rid of the current years merchandise?
