While Star Wars Land may have eliminated quite a bit of the Streets of America, what’s left of New York Street appears to be getting extended…

Two new crossbeams now extend from the New York facades to what was the Writer’s Stop building. The days of this being a movie set may be numbered.

Once enclosed, it’s somewhat likely that this will tie into a repurposed Writer’s Stop space somehow. What could it be for? Club 33 perhaps?

We suspect more New York Street facade will go in this gap.

Meanwhile, construction on the Star Wars themed land continues next door.

The old facades are currently being touched up.

It should be interesting to watch what this space becomes. What do you think it will be?

  1. ????

I thought New York Street was completely going away. If it isn’t I wonder if there is a chance of some kind of Gen 2 of the Osborn Christmas lights, that aren’t Osborn branded, using brand new tech.

This could be a game changer! ????????????????????????

  2. Maybe the DHS version of the new to WDW Club 33, a new location for Animation Academy(but doubt that would happen, sadly), the area of the expanded NYS building would have roaming characters regularly(and scheduled, with long times and nice selection of characters), and more restrooms

  3. Maybe it will be a live puppet show similar to what is now at Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom. It would tie in nicely with a different storyline of course.
