Coastal Construction Group is building a 350-room tower hotel near the existing Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
As previously rumored here, the hotel will occupy the site of the tennis courts and force some minor modifications to hole 1 of the Fairways Course at Fantasia Gardens. This site would be just steps away from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, although, as of right now, guests would still have to walk along the waterway to get there.
There is no further information available at this time.
Is this resort a Marriott or Disney or other owner property?
Thx
Frank
The Orlando Sentinel says it’s an expansion of the Swan & Dolphin.

This sounds so cool!!
350 rooms? That’s kind of useless, especially for the convention space there. Doesn’t make sense unless it is ultra-luxury like four seasons.
The Sentinel is no longer saying Coastal has the job or that it’s a 350 room tower. So, the all-caps “CONFIRMED” should come down. In fact, shouldn’t it have been “SOME OTHER SITE HAS CONFIRMED…”?
Anyway, the Sentinel article now says Coastal is “pursuing” a Swolphin expansion.
At the enemy site someone called Tishman for confirmation and was told nothing has been firmed up and no contractors have been contracted.
Any word if this will be Disney owned/operated, DVC, or third-party such as the JW Marriott going on to Bonnet Creek footprint?
