Over the weekend during the premiere of the Epcot International Festival of the Arts, the Refreshment Port near Canada added two new menu items. Fans of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and Le Cellier Restaurant will be pleasantly surprised to see the famous Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup on the menu.
The two new menu items are listed as such and prices do not include tax:
-
Poutine – French Fries with Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup and Cheese Curds – $5.99
-
Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup $4.15
So, how did the readily available Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup stand-up to its reputation?
We have to say pretty darn well. It *is* the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup, and it’s as good as ever. For those who haven’t had the soup before, imagine a creamy and cheesy masterpiece held together by Canadian love and a little bit of spice. It’s chunky in all the right ways and comes out fresh and hot. We opted for the Poutine tonight, which also has cheese curds below the soup, making for an even better treat. With the soup now being readily available at the Refreshment Port one has to wonder if the item will return to Canada’s Food & Wine booth this year for the 2018 festival. Only time will tell there, but in the meantime we’re going to enjoy having soup on demand.

Now they just need to add the pretzel rolls to the menu and i’ll be happy as can be :)
Does Disney even know what Poutine is? Even McDonalds knows how to make poutine the right way.
