We made our way over to the Magic Kingdom to check out the latest refurbishments, repainting of Tomorrowland, and new merchandise. Lets take a look!
Tomorrowland is getting repainted in a new “Crystal White” color scheme but part of the infamous Purple Wall survives. Here’s a look at the pattern that will be the transition between both colors.
Here’s a look at the newly painted Monsters. Inc. Laugh Floor wall in Crystal White.
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe continues its exterior expansion with additional covered seating.
This Toy Story-themed merchandise cart that has been a fixture in Tomorrowland for years closes on April 8th, and we have no word on a replacement, if any.
Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress continues with its repainting as seen in the photos here.
From within the park, you can see a huge area of land cleared for the upcoming TRON Lightcycle Power Run attraction. Previously, the trees were so tall and thick that you could never see the monorail track.
Refurbishment on the exterior of Prince Charming Regal Carrousel continues but the attraction remains open to guests.
The Liberty Belle continues its refurbishment and is still set to reopen June 29th.
These fantastic new posters were recently added to the Ticket Office over at Liberty Square. I hope these get added to the Art of Disney so we can buy them.
Over at the Briar Patch shop near Splash Mountain, a set of old cash registers have been removed and has made the store seem much larger and open now.
Finally, the Crystal Arts shop on Main Street U.S.A. is currently behind scrims as the exterior gets its annual refurbishment.
That concludes this Magic Kingdom photo report, see you next time!
Love the purple wall transition colors and I agree about the posters. Would love the option to buys those!
Please keep us posted if the posters in Liberty Square show up somewhere on property! They would look great in my classroom!
