It was mere weeks ago that PIXAR Fest’s Annual Passholder-exclusive refillable popcorn bucket was revealed and its release on April 24th caused quite a stir. And by “stir,” we mean lines at least an hour long at every popcorn stand. WDWNT managed to procure one of these coveted items. Let’s take a look.
When you make it up to the front of the line, a sign posted on the window of the popcorn cart comes into view. To sum up, you need a valid annual pass and matching photo I.D. (not to mention $20 to cover the price) to purchase one and there is a limit of one bucket per guest per transaction. With this bucket, you are rewarded with popcorn refills for $1 until June 21, 2018. Plus, you score a pretty darn snazzy popcorn bucket.
While the recent lineup of molded popcorn buckets have featured a small hatch in the back for popcorn access, this particular one, made to resemble one of Toy Story‘s aliens, opens up on top. The upper portion of the alien’s “head” flips up to make it appear as though the little green fellow is opening his mouth, revealing all that buttery popcorn goodness.
In case there was any confusion as to this bucket’s annual passholder-exclusive status, that recognizable “AP” logo is embossed on the backside.
The popcorn bucket’s removable strap also features the “AP” logo mixed in with a montage of aliens in different adorable poses. The strap also has an emergency release clasp in the middle of it that unclips if the strap is pulled on too much. Those can be found on most of Disney’s pin lanyards as well.
The bucket is currently sold out and it is unclear when it might return.
Are you planning on braving the hordes to score this beauty (should it become available again)?
