Walt Disney World Hiring 3,500 New Cast Members, Bonuses up to $3,000

The Walt Disney World Resort is currently hiring 3,500 full and part-time Cast Members for the busy summer season, up from 1,000 this time last year. This annual hiring event that continues through June is nothing new for the resort, but the bonus amounts are.

Many of the positions, including part time ones, are offering a hiring bonus that is at least double the amount that was offered in 2017. For example, a full or part-time housekeeper that is hired this year will be eligible for a bonus of $1,250, which is $750 more than last year.

Full or part-time lifeguards will get a $1,000 bonus (up from $500 in 2017) while seasonal lifeguards will receive $500. Disney states that the hiring bonuses will go up to $3,000, but it was not clear from Disney’s website which positions offered that amount.

Walt Disney World is hosting multiple job fairs in the coming weeks, including:

  • Culinary – April 23rd at ESPN Wide World of Sports
  • Housekeeping – May 9th at the Walt Disney World Resort Casting Center
  • Lifeguards – May 2nd at Typhoon Lagoon

All positions, including those listed above, are hiring on a rolling basis through May via online applications.
