Land is currently being cleared along the Epcot monorail path, near the Duke Energy solar fields along World Drive. This land clearing makes way for large retention ponds to support construction for the Epcot Hotel we’ve discussed recently; check out the diagram below for where exactly this large pond will lay (it’s the large green area in the upper left).
Clearing begins far beyond the Epcot parking lot.
Land cleared follows the monorail track to the current solar fields near World Drive.
You can see how close this land clearing is to the current solar fields. The land between the Mickey head and the other field has now been cleared.
