El Capitan Theatre hosted a SOLO: A Star Wars Story Fan Event yesterday, and the fans came out in hoards!
This is why it continues to be my go-to theater to view all Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and Pixar movies. Their appreciation for the films, attention to detail, preservation of history, and their exclusive extras make it a no-brainer when it comes to purchasing a movie ticket.

In typical El Capitan fashion, there were a few photo opportunities and a gallery of costumes from the movie in their stunning basement lair. Before the movie, guests partied to a live (and witty) DJ and participated in a costume contest with the kids coming in and stealing all the prizes. The cast members then raffled off a few duffel bags filled with exclusive swag to a few lucky audience members.

Before the lights dimmed writers of the film, Lawrence and Jon Kasdan took the stage to share with us their heartfelt thoughts on the process of creating the film. They played us a special message from Ron Howard and we got to film a theater-filled āHelloā in response.
I will be honest, this was the least Iāve ever seen this theater do for a Fan Event, but I still had a fantastic time. They really know how to get the crowd ready for a good show.
