Ashley Jensen Joins The Cast Of Disney’s Live Action Version Of “Lady And The Tramp”

Disney has cast actress Ashley Jensen (“Extras, “Arthur Christmas”) to voice the character of Jackie The Scottish Terrier in Disney’s upcoming live action version of “Lady And The Tramp”.

In the Disney classic animated movie, the character of Jock was a male Scottish Terrier and voiced by Bill Thompson, who was best known for voicing the characters of Mr. Smee in “Peter Pan” and Mr. Slate in “The Flinstones”.

This live action version of “Lady And The Tramp” will premier exclusively on Disney’s upcoming streaming service.

  1. Just a side note… Bill Thompson only voiced Mr. Slate in one episode of the Flintstones early in the first season. After that, John Stephenson did the voice for Mr. Slate. I looked up Stephenson’s biography and it looks like while he was a staple for most of Hanna-Barbera’s shows, he only did one voice for Disney on an episode of Darkwing Duck. All this can be filed in the “totally useless information” folder. :-)
