Starting today, Silver, Theme Park Select and Weekday Select Annual Passholders will be able to buy a new Summer Add-On Pass. With this Add-on, Passholders will be able to have unlimited visit to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom during their regular block-out days from July 9th through August 9th, 2018. Disney’s Hollywood Studios will still be blocked out through this period.
The Summer Add-on Pass will only be available to purchase at Vacation Planning and Guest Relations locations, including Disney Springs and ESPN Wide World of Sports. The Add-on ticket is only available for Silver and Weekday Select Passholders.
The Summer Add-on Passes will include access on all days (including weekends for those Week Day Select Passholders who purchase the add-on). The price of the ticket is $89.00 plus tax and it includes the ability to park hop between the 3 parks.
So Silver AP’s can pay $89 each for MK, EP & AK for ANY day July 9th through August 9th, 2018?
It’s a one-time $89 add-on to your AP for access on all blackout dates for all parks except DHS.
Considering that Disney is lacking people going through the gates, not unlifting the Silver Pass blackout dates for free, is definitely a poor decision by the executive. They already lifted the blackout dates during June and they did not even see a great change. Thus, charging $89 for only 30 days or less (You have to buy the addon at the gates meaning no advance fastpass the first time you purchase the addon) is going to cause no change in their numbers.
