Disney’s Acquisition of Fox Approved
Disney’s Acquisition of Fox Approved by shareholders from Disney and 21st Century Fox approved Disney acquisition of Fox. Both shareholder meetings were held at the New York Hilton and concluded in under 15 minutes.
Now that shareholders have approved the purchase, the deal will be locked in, but not finalized. There will still be a lot of regulatory approval needed around the world before the two companies become one.
The US Government has already given its approval of the purchase, but with the wide reach of the two companies, other countries will need to be worked with.
Disney and Fox expect the purchase to be finalized by mid-2019. FOX, Fox News, the Regional Sports Networks of Fox , and other asssets are not included in the $71.3 billion purchase.
