New Mickey-shaped Beignets have debuted over at Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter. The new beignets do replace the previous round shaped ones. Alongside the new Mickey-shaped Beignets, a new Sundae also debuted and we grabbed them both to check out.
There’s a lot of Mickey-shaped foods in the menu now but we’re here for the Beignets and the Sundae.
We ordered our Beignets fresh from the frier!
Mickey-shaped Beignet Sundae – $6.49
The first think that shocked us about this Sundae is the fact that it comes with THREE Mickey Beignets! We honestly expected there to be only one, but we were pleasantly surprised. This sundae comes with 3 Beignets, your choice of ice cream (we went with Vanilla), whip cream, and choice of sauce (chocolate or caramel). We really enjoyed the sundae, it was enough for 2 people to share and gave you a taste of what the Beignets had to offer.
Mickey-shaped Beignets (Three) – $4.49
Topped with a lot of powdered sugar and fresh from the frier, these are in fact amazing! The new Mickey-shape makes it easy to rip an ear off and bit directly into the hot Beignet. These come in a 3 or 6 pack option which is enough for the whole family to share. If you’ve ever had the Beignets from French Quarter, these are the same but with a new fun shape.
Or you could just go to Cafe du Monde in New Orleans any have authentic, fresh beignets for half the price!
If these taste like the ones they’ve had at Port Orleans for years, they don’t taste at all like real ones.
Yes, you could. I’ll be sure to add that to my Park Hopper and be back in time for Illuminations. Save me some Chicory Coffee.
