Toy Story Land is officially open! This massive new land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios features two new rides, a new entrance to Toy Story Mania, and a brand new quick service called Woody’s Lunch Box. Need your fix of the rides? Check out our videos of Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers.
You can read our review of the lunch and dinner menu here. Today we’re checking out the unique breakfast options.
Breakfast Bowl – Hearty portion of Potato Barrels smothered in Smoked Brisket Country Gravy, Scrambled Eggs and a sprinkling of Green Onions – $8.49
There’s a bunch of ‘potato barrels’ down below covered in the gravy mixture. Woody’s Lunch box isn’t deep frying the tater tots, they’re using a convection oven, so they’re not crispy like you’d expect. This, combined with the gravy, leads to a very soggy experience that is difficult to get onto a fork. The green onions don’t add much to the dish, a little hot sauce could bring this to the next level. Fortunately there’s some Texas Pete packs on the condiment bar. You could do worse, you could do better… like the Yuca Bowls at Spyglass Grill. Overall the menu there is very similar to Woody’s Lunch Box for breakfast, hmm…
S’more French Toast Sandwich – Marshmallow and Chocolate Ganache stuffed in Grilled Custard soaked Brioche encrusted with Graham Cracker Crumbs – $7.99
This is the answer to every child’s dream of candy for breakfast. It’s sweet and savory, the bread is soft and melts in your mouth with the chocolate and marshmallows. The entire sandwich is pretty good, but very sweet. Consider getting one and splitting it between two or three people.
Smoked Turkey Breakfast Sandwich – Thick-sliced Smoked Turkey Breast, Melted Swiss Cheese, Sautéed Green Pepper, Onions and Scrambled Eggs on Grilled Sourdough – $7.49
There’s a large stack of turkey between two toasted pieces of bread with eggs, cheese, onions and peppers on the stack. It’s an okay sandwich, rather bland on the first bite but gets better as you get in on the onions and peppers. It’s a heartier option compared to the other breakfast items, but if you’re getting this just wait for lunch for the Monte Cristo.
Banana Split Yogurt Parfait – Pineapple, Strawberries and Banana between layers of Vanilla Yogurt and Honey topped with Granola and Dark Chocolate Chips – $5.99
A very fresh creation that tastes like it’s been recently created. Nice and ripe strawberries, pineapple, and bananas are mixed-in with the yogurt. The granola mixture on top has small chocolate chips in the mixture. It’s a rather good option that’s nice and cold for a hot morning in Toy Story Land.
Overall, just wait for lunch.
Clearly the problem is that you didn’t have any Babybel Snack Cheese with your breakfast. Everyone knows that no brealfast is complete without a delicious Babybel Snack Cheese, the official snack cheese of Walt Disney World.
