Disney Springs is getting a brand-new food truck!
Coming in late August, 4 Rivers (a beloved local smokehouse chain here in Orlando) is introducing the 4R Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck in the Disney Springs Marketplace.
Inspired by the culinary culture of Mexico City, this food truck boasts a barbacoa-style menu with dishes including Taco Cones and Burrito Bowls. These items are filled with signature 4 Rivers meats such as brisket and pulled pork, but prepared using barbacoa techniques.
The food truck will also offer standout vegetarian options like the Squash Blossom Burrito. And for dessert, tempt your taste buds with decadent sweets such as the Dulce de Leche Churro Balls!
“It’s an honor to open the 4R Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck at Disney Springs in the company of so many talented chefs and award-winning restaurants,” said John Rivers, 4R Restaurant Group Founder and CEO. “Our first-ever daily 4R offering at Disney Springs will provide an opportunity for tourists to savor an authentic local brand. It will also give Floridians who know and love our food an all-new 4R experience and chance to enjoy dishes that are not currently available at any of our 4 Rivers Smokehouses.
They took one of the existing food trucks that were run by Disney and got a lease on it to operate on Disney property.
Anything brought in NOT Disney is a good thing. In the last decade, and moreso in last year or two, Disney is so cheap and cutting back, it can’t get worse than anything they run 100%. Glad they turned Disney Springs into a mall, that way at least businesses can come in and offer variety with some value for the customers/guests.
