¡Ay, Caramba! Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Feature Pool Undergoing Refurbishment Fall 2018

Out with the old and in with the new! As part of Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort’s massive expansion and revamp, they’re closing down the main pool starting on September 4th, 2018.

The Coronado Springs Pyramid Pool at night.
Come September 4th, it’ll probably look like this, but with a fence around it.

The Mayan pyramid aquatic area, Lost City of Cibola pool, and spitting Jaguar Slide will be closed until December 13th, 2018. Please note that all adjoining areas, like the Dig Site hot tub, Iguana Arcade, and the Siestas Cantina pool bar will also be closed during the refurbishment. The pool bar, however, won’t be open until January 6th, 2019.

The good news is that the resort’s three leisure pools—located in the Casitas, Ranchos, and Cabanas settlements—will still remain open in case you’re looking for a quick respite from the Fall heat. Take it from this Floridian, it’s still plenty hot for pool time in September and even October!

Recreation activities, including Movies Under the Stars and Campfires with Marshmallows, will also still be available.

With amazing concept art already out for Villa Del Lago Restaurant and Coronado’s new tower, I’m excited to see what the refreshed pool area will look like!
