REVIEW: Cheesy Puff Loaded Hot Dog and Secret Menu Loaded Fries at Casey’s Corner at Magic Kingdom

Casey’s Corner is a beloved Quick-Service location located at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom. Casey’s is known for hot dogs, sauerkraut, and having a line that stretches outside the building. In recent times they’ve been trying to adapt to the ever-changing Instagram and local crowd by offering a different monthly hot dog. You may remember we gorged ourselves on a TWO FOOT hot dog last month. August 2018 brings out the Cheesy Hot Diggity Dog and another version of the loaded fries. More on that after first base.

Cheesey Hot Diggity Dog – All-Beef Hot Dog topped with Cheddar and Queso with Seasoned Cheese Puffs served with French Fries or Apple Slices – $12.49/foot-long or $10.99/regular (1 Quick Service on the Disney Dining Plan)

Yes those are Cheetos on top. As to why Disney can’t advertise Cheetos but they sell bags of the product at carts at Disneyland is beyond us, but hey it’s a fun hot dog so why complain. There’s a gigantic amount of queso below the ‘seasoned cheese puffs’ that really adds to the complexity of the monotone Casey’s hot dog. The dogs here are all about the toppings, which is why the toppings bar has plenty of ketchup, mustard, relish, onions, and more. Make no mistake that these toppings not only add to the messiness of the meal but the craziness too. It’s not necessarily a bad hot dog, just very unique and different. Fortunately the all-beef hot dogs that Disney switched to are really good. They’re cooked to perfection to allow a plumpness that gives a nice crisp bite each time. We did the regular size here, the foot-long is a few inches longer. Choose your meat wisely.

Cheesy Loaded Fries – French Fries topped with Cheddar, Queso, and Seasoned Cheese Puffs – $5.99 (1 Snack on the Disney Dining Plan)

Okay, so let’s break this down a bit: The toppings on these loaded fries are the same toppings on the monthly hot dog. These toppings change every month with the specialty hot dog, which is really cool, but not advertised unless you use mobile ordering. We love constantly changing menus, especially when there’s something unique and fun about it. We feel that the toppings work better on the fries than the hot dog, but only if you actually get enough of the toppings. We felt that the fries were pretty bare and could have used more cheese. If you don’t want to indulge in the crazy loaded fries of the month, there’s always Chili-Cheese French Fries available for $5.79 that are continually available and always good.
