REVIEW: More New Lunch Choices at Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village

We’re going to keep harping that chord that plays the ‘Sanaa is the best lunch option at Walt Disney World’ note, because well.. it is. We recently visited Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village back in June and brought you a review of a few new lunch items and the amazing bread service. Within the last few weeks we ventured over again to check out the other lunch entrees.

We had a lovely guest join us for lunch as well.

MFW the bread service is coming.

Indian-Style Bread Service – All Nine Accompaniments – $16.00

Here it is, in all its glory. If you run out of bread before sauces and spreads you can order individual pieces for a small price. The sauces range from mild to supremely spicy. There’s garlic, hummus, peppers, and everything in-between. We’re personal fans of the Tamarin sauce, which is similar to a barbecue sauce but with a distinct Indian spice attached. We told you a few weeks ago you can actually purchase the bread service wooden board in the gift shop at Kidani Village, it comes with recipe cards for all the sauces and breads.

Boerewors Braii – Grilled South African Sausage with Onion Jam and Confit Tomatoes served Open-faced on Traditional Naan with Sanaa Chips and Pickle Spear – $15.00

This is one gigantic African sausage served open-faced on a piece of naan bread. It’s topped with a seemingly endless amount of tomatoes and just enough onion jam to add a nice crunch to each bite. It’s good, flavorful, and a lot of food for the cost. Looks are deceiving but it’s really gigantic. Well worth your time and money.

Sanaa Burger – Spiced Mustard and Peppadew-Goat Cheese served with Sanaa Chips and Pickle Spear – $18.00

A little more expensive than the sausage, this burger comes out… smaller. At least, it looks that way. We found a heaping pile of goat cheese below the ambiguous bun on top of the patty. Our server confirmed the patty is a Sanaa receipt using multiple varieties of meat and cooked to perfection. She wasn’t joking, this burger is stunning and tastes fantastic. It’s rich, flavorful, and will certainly fill anyone up.

Overall: Sanaa lunch is the greatest lunch at Walt Disney World. Don’t let the ‘out of the way’ feel of getting to Animal Kingdom Lodge detract you from getting out here during your vacation. The out of the way feel is half of the experience.
